Roger Rinderknecht again on the podium

Roger Rinderknecht keeps on pushing the new mountain bike 4X-season. The Swiss rider finished 3rd in the finals of the UCI World Cup in Houffalize, Belgium. Only Dan Atherton (GBR, 2nd) and Jared Graves (AUS, 1st) beat the GT-Team rider who placed second at the Worlds last year. Roger is now also on second place in the UCI-4X-Worldcup-Overall-Ranking. Roger obviously liked the 460 meters long 4X track in Houffalize and already showed in the qualifications what he is made of, placing second with a gap of only 0,02 seconds to Jared Graves. The semifinals seemed to be an easy job for Roger, too. Joost Wichman (NED), Michael Deldycke (FRA) and Kamil Tatarkovic (CZE) were not able to catch Roger after his hole shot into the first turn (semifinals video: www.freecaster.tv). Three other big names in the 4X-business were on the gates in the finals: Dan Atherton, Joost Wichman and Jared Graves. After the gate dropped down, Roger mastered to get on second position right behind Jared Graves, but got passed by Dan Atherton on the inside line of the first turn. The spectators were yelling and cheering for the riders, but the constellation kept the same for the rest of the race (finals video: www.freecaster.tv) Roger is pretty satisfied after the first two World Cup races this year: "After placing fourth in Pietermartizburg and now third in Houffalize, I can’t wait to move on for the next races! Jared is of course the hardest competitor, showing a great performance this year, but the qualifications in Belgium made clear that I can keep up with him.
